Breaking news: Today’s the last day you can apply to this Friday’s Creative Business Accelerator event in London which supports creative and innovative early stage London businesses looking to raise finance. Here’s the application form or contact angela.p@gle.co.uk or 020 7089 2337. All London-based companies are eligible to apply (as this is essentially a local event, not a UK-wide one). GLE Growth Capital (which comprises London Business Angels and London Seed Capital, among others) is running the event. Companies including Mydeo and Skinkers are among those who have accessed finance through London Business Angels. The event is being funded by the London Development Agency and City of London, and supported by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, it also has the support of Oracle, Google, UKTI, RBS, the Design Council, Harbottle & Lewis, and Kingston Smith. It’s free of charge to all participating companies. The programme is designed for “early stage businesses with a strong business idea and evidence of growth potential”, who are seeking finance with a focus on equity.

As an ex-participant, I strongly recommend this opportunity. The range of business support, advice and mentoring is fantastic and I met some extremely close friends in the process.
Looks great! Once again, another event I didn’t know about and can’t schedule in. Techcrunch UK really needs a calendar of events! (hint, hint)

They’ve extended the application period…so if you’re interested in participating, there’s still time to apply.

The first time I heard of this was on your post last night, and we are not exactly unconnected in the London tech space – so one wonders exactly where the organisers were marketing this all beforehand.
