Congrats to Brett on finally launching. Surprised he needed any VC funding given his personal wealth. And congrats to the me-too VC community for once again coming out on mass to back an obvious low risk venture.

Where are these so-called foresighted investors when the venture is not as obvious and a little more risky. Sadly know where to be seen.

As for Mydeco it is an interesting proposition but read the T&C's and it is a little worrying. Basically the contract is with the supplier and not Mydeco. This means if you want to return a good who do you deal with? If the good is not delivered on time who do you deal with? It doesn't seem to be MyDeco.

Also as a retailer how much do I pay Mydeco for listing me. Will it be more profitable to suppliers (big/small) to pay for better SEO?

If Mydeco works like Net-a-porter - who deal with everything from delivery, pricing and returns then it will be a massive hit. If however I order goods via Mydeco but then have to deal with the individual suppliers it will be a trainwreck.

It will be interesting to see how it works. Having managed a PC company I know the cost of managing returns is very high.

P.S mydeo should see an increase in traffic from those misspelling mydeco
