However, it&#039;s been stuck in apply-first beta for two years and is closed to people who don&#039;t have a US social security number and bank account.  Which rather makes the point moot for now.</description>

On thing I forgot to say is that if the Yahoo publisher programme gave more revenues back to niche sites than Google AdSense, they would immediately have a stick to beat Google with.</description>

Why would a &quot;combined Yahoo/Microsoft clearly have a massive impact on traffic to niche sites, squashing a lot of other sites underfoot&quot;? 

If Microsoft leaves the properties alone, they stay the approx. same market share. If it combines category properties, then some users don&#039;t like the chnage and go elsewhere, no? The main risk for rivals is that advertisers and sponsors could get more reach by going to one company with greater reach, IMHO. Great numbers, btw.</description>
