My son (18) has just signed up to this, using his own handset. After some initial problems getting the settings right, he seems pleased with the free minutes and texts and has got a few of his friends to sign up.

But he only found out about it because I happened to stumple across it. There doesn't seem to have been any kind of launch in the UK that has reached the target audience, soft or otherwise, so no-one seems to know about it.

I think it's a promising model as it addresses the one key issue for teenagers - NO CREDIT!

Mike
Does this genuinely surprise anyone, this model is broken, its not FREE, its a some free minutes and texts in lieu of your attention.
I really cannot see this working long term.
