Jens is right. Touchlocal is one only company that comes close to having all these features. They are however not to popular and should really spend more effort on advertising and marketing. When i see companies like Bview I normally see it as another way to deprive us of our hard-earned cash.

Just went on to BView for Plymouth for Man and van and found the usual suspects. When I see these companies, I assume it's just another directory. Can't see anything about credit ratings, but pretty irrelevant for my line of business anyway. Just looks like one of many!

Iwas in a restaurant once where a customer discussed loudly with her friend that she was reviewing the food. She then gave the staff a really hard time(unjustified). I can see the likes of her loving a website like Bview and the ability to trash anyone who doesnt put up with her antics.Personally i would have thrown her out and took my chances.

Credit scores are pretty much irrelevant for consumers looking for a local restaurant or plumber, that type of information is really only useful in a B2B context, so that's a pretty limited USP. There are a lot more useful directory sites out there like welovelocal.com, touchlocal.com and thebestof.co.uk.

You have to pay for information on busibody and the cost can rack up depending on what info you want and how many companys you want it on. If you actually go onto bview the reports are free, although they are not that comprehensive.
i like their customer reviews/rating system- kind of cool

"There are 1.5 million credit scores on BView and it’s the first time you’ve been able to see a company’s credit rating in the UK."

You mean for free, right? I've been using www.busibody.com for ages.

I guess touchlocal comes close to what they do: www.touchlocal.com They have been around for several years and are backed by Balderton (I think).

This is basically a standard (Companies House-based?) offline directory, transported online with a web 2.0 overlay. The challenge with this kind of stuff is that you need a lot of reviews to add significant value. With significant value, you get a lot of users. Lots of users -> lots of reviews and even more value. Getting the amount of traffic to increase the number of reviews will be a key challenge for them.
