Ian B I’ve been friends with Paul for about 3 years. I think that Michael has known him for a tad longer. If anyone is following anyone around US and Europe it would be me following him, given that he started his nomadic life back in February.

Having read an advance copy of Paul’s book I can confirm that his gargantuan unprofessionalism and inability to hold down a job for more than a few months, without being fired, or forced out, is covered in great detail. So much so that without it his book would be as short as one of his Haiku.

What people don’t seem to realise is that writers crave attention, even if it is only anonymous trolls slagging them off. All publicity is good publicity especially when your book is called Bringing Nothing to the Party.

OMG Paul Carr and another short-lived website. Last time he was writing his haikus, he was trying to chum up to Charlie Brooker or Scott Pack or someone, but they all told him to go away. And now we see him trailing around the UK and Europe wherever new chum-ups Michael Smith or Robert Loch’s business takes them, like the embarrassing second-former trying to be seen smoking with the sixth form cool set. It looks like Mike and Jemima K are next to try and get chummed. Mind how you go.

Gary – Actually, he’s not my bosom pal, but he does write some funny Haiku. But I’ll try harder, promise.

Anyway, looks to me like TFP’s problems were simpler than that – they just needed to sell more books:

This is the same Paul Carr who ran the Friday Project into the ground leaving loads of people out of pocket, and then legged it to Las Vegas to write another self-serving pean to himself?
