[...] MobileMea Culpa Ars Technica’s Infinite Loop is quoting from what it says is an Apple internal e-mail in which Steve Jobs says that the buggy MobileMe synching service is “not up to Apple’s usual standards” and that it was launched too early: “The vision of MobileMe is both exciting and ambitious, and we will press on to make it a service we are all proud of by the end of this year.” That’s encouraging, I guess, although anyone who’s paying $99 a year for MobileMe may not want to wait another few months until it works like it’s supposed to. (The Apple site touts its wonders and mentions no problems.) Suggestion: Why not put MobileMe into a retroactive beta and suspend user charges until Apple–and, more important, Apple customers–are happy with it?
[...] The iPhone Rumor Mill The UK’s Daily Mail ignited a minor firestorm when it reported that Apple will release a cheaper, more basic “iPhone Nano” in time for Christmas. Most bloggers who know what the heck they’re talking about say that the story sounds improbable; some bash the Mail and contend that it’s manufacturing rumors to generate traffic at its Website. I still think that if Apple history holds true to form, Apple will release such a phone at some point–but it will do so in a way that has little or nothing to do with the scenario outlined in the Mail’s story.
Come on Mike.. never trust the Daily Hate!!

Did you know it was the only newspaper to support the Nazi Party right until the Great Britain declared war in 1939? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daily_Mail

Agree with you though. Putting a story like this, will probably put the readers through the roof! What next ?? a story on twitter being offline :)

VOTE: Ban Daily Mail...

You never know!

Those mockups aren't so crazy. Apple could theoretically reduce the iPhone's functionality to a minimum, which might work for some, as the iPhone is heavy and media intensive right now.

In any case it's unlikely that the Daily Mail would pick up this story first. Why ban them, though? Speculation and rumor is fun...

This is loony:
