If you’re a European startup going to TechCrunch 50 (either as a demo company, individual, or even if you’re just thinking about being in San Francisco while the event is on) then please let me know or leave a comment below. There may well be scope for a “UK/Irish/Euro Meetup” if people are interested…

As a techcrunch40 alumni MAXroam was invited to grab a pitch in the alumni room this year (fantastic concept and we really appreciate it), 5 of us are attending, 3 from Ireland and 2 from USA
    looking forward to it.
Probably going to do a party in the house we are renting, BBQ or something

We are considering attending the Demo Pit. Not sure about the ROI.

    I might go.

I think there’s something in the terms and conditions about not telling anyone you’re going.

I’m gutted I won’t be there. Have fun people and hope to catch up soon. We’re likely to be in town in October to announce Wubud. Sigh.

Like, I guess, a few, we have been thinking about the Demo Pit, but for a really early startup the costs involved are somewhat prohibitive. Anybody with experience on how well the Demo Pit works?

  • Mathias

We made it until the 3rd round and would have gone to the demopit if our product would be completely ready. But at the moment “only” the backend is ready, and we are still working on the UI and even the logo. Our plan was to cancel all vacations and pull several all-nighters if selected for the stage. For one day at the demopit, that seems a bit of too much stress :) I look forward to contact you again once we launch later this year.

I’ll be there without making a pitch. Would be happy to join a meetup.

    Hey,

we’re going to the TC50 as well.

We decided to organize a party on Wednesday, 10th from 11pm.
    (so far 300 RSVPs)

@Mike: if you like you can make it more public for the Eure scene. :)
