For fuck sake. Has the owner sent his minions to do try and big up the site? Face it, people are allowed an opinion, wether it be good or bad, ASKING people to give you good rep, indicates the feeling of the site, even from the owners.

I have to say the developers have worked their back of for the website have done such a great job. Might be some bugs about at the moment but they are looking into them and will be fixed. The website is just a friendly place to mingle with users and also have such a great staff team who are about to help the users and their needs.

In a few months time i bet the website will be rocking and you won't want to log off. You just have to be patient an wait and see.

I have had a look and I do like the design, its far better looking than the previous faces site and the majority of other web 2.0s. I just joined and have to say I really like the simple sign up and the whole profile design wizard thing.

Clearly there seems to be a lot of activity on the site and the forums are busy etc so I guess we will just need to give it some time and see how things develop.

Everyone is always quick to judge and point out the errors.
Faces isn't a myspace clone, in fact if anyone actually used both sites you'd see that there's even less in common with that than when it was Profileheaven!
What 3Bill have done is taken a dated and pretty much worn out site and made it into something fun again. Yes, like all sites there is some teething problems, but the team of staff are working 24/7 to rectify this while planning to add to V2. It's the only site around that's effectively allowing the users to develop it....without running up 20million pounds of debt [/facebook]
As for the "gimmicks" I'm pretty sure we all labelled bebo love gimmicky, look how popular that is, anyone who understands business will know that most ideas are looked down upon by snobbery at first, but the same people doing the criticising will be the very ones playing about with those ideas on their lunch break.
If you look at the highly positive side of Faces, what about the 24/7 staff coverage? People you can speak to on a one to one basis rather than waiting how many days/weeks for a response? Or their insistence on making sure there is no fakers on the site by employing a team of people to check for them 24/7? The staff interaction on site - they mingle with the users to see exactly what they like/dislike.
I think some more credibility should be given to the CEO. He didn't get where he is by flogging dead horses and I have every faith in him that he will make this the success it deserves to be. Unlike any other site he has the support and trust of the long term users.

I think the concept behind faces.com is a very good one. Taking 2 fairly big networking sites and combining them both to one site is the start of what i think will make a really sucessful networking site. I agree with the previous comments about it being the very early stages with the owner and developers doing everything they can to mould it into the kinda of site the users want it to be.

I reckon a few months down the line when everything has calmed down and all the user requests have been added to the site it will rock the socks off networking sites.

I have been using it, and i am confident that it will exceed my expectations when all the creases are ironed out.

The site is not long been launched, and its common for a few bugs to be found here and there, the site is a brilliant place to spend your spare time, mingling with the users from all around the world on one site, In comparison to other sites theres a lot of features that faces.com has that others dont, and thats what makes i unique.

This is a site still in it’s Launch steps, One that has a set of developers behind it that seem to be consistantly trying to improve on the current model.

Its a great seat from my point of view and i will continue to use it for years to come.

Admittedly more user input could have been put into Faces however nothing is perfect 1st time off the start line..As GudJ (hai!) says the owner is listening to the community and will give them what they want, we just have to be patient and give it time

People seem to forget, this is still the launch version.
They will be sorting through a few bugs and fixing them before really adding to the site. As I can see on the forums though, they are actively encouraging all their users to come up with suggestions for features they would like... all the way down to the emotes they are using on the forum.

This is a site still in it's infancy. One that has a set of developers behind it that seem determined to consistantly improve on the current model. I think things can look up for this site.
