Thanks for the heads-up Mike, its the first time I've seen CardSmart and I like the look of it.

I agree with you, its not going to push the Web2.0 envelope and usher in a new era of virally-twittering-synergy, but despite (or because of) that it is very focused on what it does and will almost certainly be successful. As Shak says, its simple but what Joe Public wants and uses.

This isn't one of those 'cool' sites that will be closed down in a few months when the angel money runs out. Its probably already profitable and in the current market conditions that isn't 'dumb'.

That's fair comment Shak, but you can't deny that news travels fast on social networks. But obviously you are taking care of all that etc. And as I pointed out, you don't need all that for it to be a success. All the best with it.

Mike

Thanks for the mention, and as Rik posted above, lots of web 2.0 tools in the works.

As for Facebook and Twitter stuff, well I think we will let the millions of $$$s invested in them try and work out the revenue model first, whilst we knuckle down and get on with the job at hand.

Ultimately Joe Public loves using services paid for by others, I learnt that in round 1 in 2000 with www.smsboy.com and since then I have not dabbled in being a trend setter as most trend setters usually end up broke.

As for Web Dumb, you'd be surprised what Joe Public actually wants and is used to on a day to day basis.

Hi Mike,

We are currently building a set of "Web 2.0" tools for CardSmart that should be released pretty soon
