Last week it was revealed that Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg has been using Twitter, the microblogging service he’s been trying to buy – since last May. His @zuck account remains private and largely unused, but he now has a new public one: @finkd. After the story broke he now has over 8,000 followers.

However, more interestingly, he has been trying out Tweetdeck, the desktop Adobe Air app for Twitter developed by UK-based Iain Dodsworth. Tweetdeck was recently funded for $500,000 by New York based Betaworks.

So, I guess if Mark decided eventually to pass on Twitter, he may well be interested in a powerful desktop client instead…
