Some nice startups but is it correct to consider Spotify a web service?
ok, ok, well, application then
Do you know somes applications like ebuddy to go on MSN ? If it’s possible in french!
Thank you so much.
Camille.
Bonjour Camille, il y a un truc pour mettre eBuddy en français si la langue est ton problème.
SInon, je crois que eBuddy est la seule application similaire à msn sans téléchargement.
Busuu is the best one ever!!!!!
The best website for the moment…about music !!!
yes,i think so
Excellent site, très drôle et original!
Viewdle!!!
yep the best
Zillow is a US founded company based out of Washington State. Why are they being considered part of the TC Europa awards?
Mike,
eBuddy won the Best International Company at the 2008 Crunchies Awards held in January 2009. Why would they not be included on this list given that they are a major European start-up?
Tweetmeme is so fast with breaking news, I’ve had stuff from them that takes hours later for the world of twitterdom to not only start discussing but it creates these topical discussions. It’s informative and helps make Twitter what it is today! Long live tweetmeme!
Hey Mike,
.
is this list the final one? Missing one or two start ups
See you in London,
Kirsten

Radionomy is glad to be listed on The Europas 2009 awards.
Thx to all Tech Crunch Team & goodluck to all other participant!
Question: why we cannot see the results of the voting so far?
Because it’s a rule in surveys, you can be affected in your choice if you see the result before voting.
I think the question was why you can’t see results *after* voting.
Yes, Fiona, that was actually the question.
Thanks for the help.
Spotify gets my vote. Has enhanced my Hi Fi system and has changed the way I listen to music. Have not put a cd on since I installed it!
Spotify. For. The. Win.
Should have had Trustedplaces here
How about Venda Small Business? New online store application that needs no technical skill to set up….
SPOTIFY FOR KING!!!!!!!
Webjam is so easy to use that even a computer challenged individual like myself has no problem with it. The support staff is second to none as are the features available on this site.
Spotify fo sho
Let’s go Watzatsong!
i like the app, it enhenced my email posting a lots.
i like the app. it enhenced my posting a lots. hope it grows.
Excellent site.
I’ve been using Sclipo for a while and it really helps me out as a teacher. They just keep adding cool new tools that make teaching easier and better.
Jinni should definitely be one of the winners, they already got a webby but the simplicity and innovation of their service is out of the ordinary. Plus it’s really engaging!
Jinni FTW ihmo, everytime I want to find a new movie to watch I use their “find similar movies to this one” function…
I love Jinni! Especially the movie suggestions and links to where I can get the movies (like Netflix, my favorite). It is the smartest entertainment site around!
Ok, who put Zoopla in this list!!! Those guys nearly cost me 30G with their off-the-wall guestimates. Lucky for me I convinced the buyer to look at real market pricing and take these cowboys with a pinch of salt!
Still lots of apps in the list I haven’t tried, but for now Jinni definitely gets my vote! Couldn’t live without her!
I really enjoy browsing and having the views available.
Glad to see Sclipo gets a nod: they offer some very great teaching apps.
This site makes it so easy to follow and understand. I actually enjoyed visiting and reading this site. I am not using a computer all the time, so I need it easy to follow. Thanks.
Webjam gets it! Community within community. The power of your own local group within the larger community of your interest, club, group, political bent, etc.
And ease of use! We could offer our local groups the ability to build them own web site with rag n drop simplicity. And each module has a host of features they can merely select by checking boxes or drop-downs.
We’ve looked for several years, tried Ning, Socialgo; these guys/ladies never got it. Maybe they will when Webjam passes them by!
Definitively: Shout’em
Jimdo – отличный сервис и дизайн!
Jimdo is the best!
Jimdo ist the very very best!!!
Jimdo is not a startup, the basic software is from 2003/2004 (northclick) and its only in a new package and a little bit refresh. That is not innovativ and that is not new! I can not understand why jimdo is on the list. It must be a joke…. Look at Yola, that is innovativ and a new way!
Yeah, Jimdo is not really a modern engine, but Yola differs only slightly. Checkout Webnode for full-featured system. Its probably the only one of those with major innovation dated in last year – real e-shop solution.
The best one is really mekanist.net.
Links to the sites in question would be helpful, maybe even a thumbnail ?
Folks might be tempted to simply click on one that they’ve heard of
