if they do a blackberry app then they really will get ahead !

iphone is rather tough to get noticed and while nice to have I would have thought that getting blackberry and iPhone at the same time at least would have been a better bet

Agree with comments above. Dopplr is kinda cool, but I think WorldMate is a great tool for a professional travel like me.

I’m planning a trip to Europe. I have an iPhone and an unlocked Android phone – will probably bring both so I can use local 3g data w/o having to jailbreak my iPhone.

I’ve vaguely heard of TripIt’s email-your-itinerary service, but know nothing about Dopplr or WorldMate. On it’s website, WorldMate seems to be more for business people checking for flight delays.

From the sounds of this article and a quick peek at their site, Dopplr seems more helpful for the inexperienced social traveler.

I’d appreciate knowing why you guys prefer one app to another.

I prefer worldmate’s iphone app, worked great on my old blackberry app and has a better UI than either tripit or dopplr.
