<description>I use both and I believe XING has the better technology. Also, that it lacks as many members and trades publicly are interesting, but the most interesting stat of all is that 8% of its total membership pay for access at about $8 a month. I&#039;ll bet LinkedIn comes nowhere near that.

And remember this is a social network; Evan Williams and Mark Zuckerberg DREAM about that stat in their route to maintaining a viable business beyond VC injections.

<description>As a user of both networks, I think I am able to compare both networks on a fair base.

In my opinion XING is the better plattform in order to network and get in touch with people.
Not only the navigation is much easier and more structured, it appears much more professional.

Two things are there that I do not like though.

1.) You have to pay for premium accounts (Basic Accounts are good, but I don&#039;t like those pay-things)

2.) The lack of english-speaking people. I believe once the network could gain ground in the US, more and more english-speaking folks would join from which the whole network would benefit.

<description>&quot;Despite being virtually unknown in the US, and still somewhat hemmed in by its core German speaking market, XING, the LinknedIn competitor, refuses to lie down.
