I am pretty impressed with the growth Qype is having in Europe and really looking forward to see if they will manage to succeed here in Italy as well.

The mkt of local reviews is already pretty crowded in Italy as well, especially if you relate to restaurants and "places" in general.
Truth to be told, no one has the financial backing that Qype enjoys. I am really curious to see how they will invest their money.

I am the Marketing Manager of www.GliAffidabili.it, which is an Italian start up that differentiates from the Qype and Yelp-alike by focusing only on people and services. This is where we believe the value of social rating is the highest and this is the niche we are targeting

In any case, good luck to Qype and welcome to Italy

Disclosure: I am working with Tupalo.com

Honestly, with Tupalo.com being invested in by one of Europe's largest Yellow Pages publisher - having them as a strategic partner, contrary to Qype as an opponent - I would really keep an eye on Tupalo instead of Qype.

From a business perspective this truly makes sense imho
