Free pitch workshops for startups, grab'em while they're hot

TechCrunch Europe and UK Trade and Investment are organising a series of pitch workshops to help startups hone their pitch for events. These are free.

The next on is on 7th June 2010. It is free to attend for qualified UK-based startups, which means any startup in Europe that also has a UK base of course. It gives you a chance to possibly pitch at a forthcoming TechCrunch Europe event as we tend to look at those startups coming through this UKTI filter.

Here are the details:

Topics covered during the Pitch workshops at British Library Business & IP Centre in London will include:

-How to put the pitch presentation together and what to include
-Guidance and feedback on delivery skills
-Overcoming nerves
-How to maximise the networking opportunity at the event

Julie Collins from Collins & Collins will facilitate the workshop and has worked with many different companies across different sectors – including IT, Creative industries and Environmental goods and services – to prepare pitches to international companies and BBC production companies for example. We’ve seen Julie in action. She knows her stuff.

Only qualified startups may apply to participate in this workshop (UK based, bootstrap/angel/seed funding and less than 3 years in business). Please note that participation in the Pitch! workshop does not guarantee that your startup will be pitching at a future TechCrunch Pitch but a few of the startups participating in the workshop may well get selected. The TechCrunch editorial team reserves the right to select the pitching startups.

If you are interested in participating in the TechCrunch/UKTI Pitch! workshop, please confirm your registration with Petra Johansson petra@twistedtree.co.uk giving us the following details:
