It's raining cash, cloud offering Zimory raises €4m

Following Flexiant’s latest funding round last month, another European cloud computing startup gets a cash injection today.

Zimory, which delivers “secure, scalable, accessible, end-to-end global solutions for private, public and database cloud”, has secured €4 million in a round led by Creathor Venture, High-Tech Gruenderfonds and VC Fonds Technologie Berlin (the vehicle of IBB Berlin), T-Venture and KFWand. T-Venture has its own Fund and is not part of VC Fonds Technologie. KfW has also invested from their own fund and is not part of VC Fonds Technologie.

In addition, the Berlin-based company has appointed Ruediger Baumann as its new CEO to expand its sales and marketing efforts and drive “long term” growth. Baumann boasts 30 years in the IT and telecommunication market.

Zimory’s “Cloud Manager” enables service providers to deliver cloud computing services on demand to enterprise customers. Its flexible design is said to provide “operational security and the ability to support any kind of cloud computing constellation”, which in turn offers customers “huge’ cost savings.
