Videoplaza partners with the UK's Dennis Publishing

Videoplaza, the video ad server startup, has announced a partnership with leading UK consumer publisher Dennis Publishing, whose magazine titles include Maxim, Evo, Auto Express and Kontraband. Videoplaza will help Dennis grow and better monetise its video inventory.

Specifically, Videoplaza’s ‘Monetizer’ product has been chosen for its ability to target video advertising on mobile devices, tablets, digital magazines and other formats/platforms that Dennis may choose to enter in the future.

As part of the announcement, Sorosh Tavakoli, Founder and CEO of Videoplaza, notes that traditional magazine publishers are “changing their workflows to produce more and more video content for their users”. While Luke Walker, Project Manager at Dennis Publishing, is talking up not only Videoplaza’a technology but also its experience and expertise working with publishers which will enable the company to go to “the next level with video, highlighting opportunities and ensuring we can take advantage of them.”

Videoplaza, based in Stockholm and London, targets broadcasters, newspaper publishers and other premium media owners and has to-date partnered with several leading European media companies including Sweden’s TV4 Group, Denmark’s Ekstrabladet, La Vanguardia in Spain, and Myvideorights.com and Incisive Media in the UK (see TCE coverage).

In March this year the company secured a €3.5 million funding round from leading Nordic VCs Creandum and Northzone Ventures. This followed seed investments of €80,000 and €420,000, bringing the total raised to-date to €4m.
