TechCrunch Moscow: Join us on the startup hunt at Red October, December 13

On December 13, TechCrunch Europe is coming to Moscow, Russia, for our first ever “TechCrunch Moscow”. The event will be held at the first Russian private tech incubator, the Digital October Center, located in a historical manufacturing building Krasny Oktyabr (pictured). For those of you unfamiliar with this (I know there may be one or two of you), this actually translates as “Red October” (or Красный Октябрь in Russian). Our event will be part of the official launch of the building, which hopes to become Moscow’s leading digital / media / technology hub.

TechCrunch Moscow is about supporting the startup and venture capital eco-system in Moscow and Russia. It’s also about uncovering the trends
and the hottest companies and startups in the market right now. If you are in Europe for Le Web and want to spend a few productive days in Moscow, TechCrunch Moscow is your chance to check out the scene there.

Co-organised by us together with Kite Ventures, the conference will focus on the key issues regarding tech entrepreneurship in Russia, including:

• Opening the Russian market to multinational companies and competition

• Developing tech entrepreneurship community in Russia as an aid towards modernising and diversifying the economy

• Russian Going Global: What can Russia do to internationalise its tech entrepreneurship and to be more competitive in the global market

TechCrunch Moscow attendees will enjoy the opening ceremony of the state-of-the-art Digital October Center, enjoy a full day packed with speeches by the leaders of the industry, networking opportunities and a chance to preview promising Russian tech startups.

More details on the final program and speakers will be announced soon. Tickets, which will be on sale around November 13, will be sold via the Russian-based TimePad and directly on the day.

All speaker, sponsorship, exhibitor and attendee enquiries should for the moment be directed to TechCrunch Europe’s events directer, Aléna Dundas ( alena[@]beta.techcrunch.com )
