Online video marketer Clipkit raises funding from T-Venture, IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft

Exclusive – Yet another funding round for a Berlin-based tech startup. T-Venture, Deutsche Telekom’s venture arm, and IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft have co-invested in privately-held online video syndication and marketing company Clipkit.

The size of the round was not disclosed, but we’re told that it was a “mid-seven-digit euros” figure.

With the new capital, Clipkit intends to ramp up development of its proprietary video player technology and to focus on the expansion of its video content library and network reach.

Clipkit syndicates premium online videos from publishers and content owners, which are then distributed and marketed on a ton of mobile and regular websites via its in-house developed video player. The company helps brands reach people by video ads that run throughout its network, which includes a group of partner sites that comprises more than 100 websites in total.

Clipkit says advertisers can thus get up to more than 100 million marketable video views per month.
